How to sync audio to existing multicam edit?

Hi, I have done a multicam edit of my wedding from 4 different angles. SInce there was a lot of background noise, I have cleaned the audio track from one of the clips on an external program and imported it to FCPX.

What's the best way now to sync that audio to the existing edit? I only see options to sync clips in the event browser but that won't affect the timeline edit.

Your help if appreciated.

Thanks

hey scuba:

The way I have done it is to add the new sound clip to an added angle to the multiclip and then sync the selected clip under the angle options to the monitoring angle. Then select the whole multiclip in the timeline and right click and change the audio angle to your added audio angle.
Very simple. There are a few other ways of doing this, but involves making a new compound clip from your timeline and then syncing the compound clip created in the event browser to your edited audio clip.

Thanks. But how do you add it to an already edited multicam timeline? Or do you add to the multicam clip and do I edit it all again?

Thanks

you open the multiclip that you made originally in the events browser you can press shift-F if you can't find it in the events. Open the event multiclip using the angle viewer, from there you can add new angles and place your your new edited audio clip into the new angle and then select sync selection to monitor angle in the angle options. Any additions and edits made to the original multi-clip will be added to any instances of the multi-clip in the project timelines, The multiclip function in FCP X is very powerful and open.

You can try relinking the old unprocessed file with the new fixed one. Just an idea.

Check the user manual, everything is there, it is quite simple.

Anyone have a link to the online version of the user manual? My old URL isn't working any longer.
