Selecting A Font Color For Titles

Seems as though this is a stupid question but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how/where to change the font color of my titles. I see where I can center them, add EFX to them (shadows, glows etc.) change the actual font etc. but where the hell do I change the color? I see the font presets but that changes the font style as well. All I wanna do is change the color of my titles (fonts).

Nevermind. I can't believe it. I'd been searching how to do this for quite awhile (I really don't wanna say how long cuz it's embarrassing). As soon as I pressed "Submit" on this Forum, and went back to FCPX, there it was . . . starring me in my stupid face.

On a related note, I've noticed that sometimes clicking the colour picker icon to change font colour in the 'face' section in the text inspector doesn't work with motion templates. I'm not sure why this is and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with fonts being Motion Livetype style fonts. Has anyone else noticed this and if so, found a workaround?

I haven't noticed that of course bcz until now I didn't even know how to change the color. LOL! Sounds like a glitch though. ?

This can happen if the color controls have not beed published from Motion. Some titles have fixed colors.

I wondered about that. I imagine the fix is to open in Motion from the effects browser, enable publishing and resave.

What does seem new is that at the top of the text tab in the inspector, there's a pulldown with Livetype looking font looks that I hadn't noticed before. I wondered if this had something to do with it because Livetype fonts are more limited.

Also be sure you have actual text highlighted first, or nothing will change. All titles can have the color changed, that's automatically published.

That drop down style menu at the top of the Text tab has always been there.
