Hi all.

This is my first post on this forum and Im also very new in video editing, so please be patient with me :silly:

I was playing with FCPX 10.0.6 and suddenly waveforms disappeared from clips, or there is only partial waveform, as one can see on the picture.

I went briefly thru google search and tutorial, but didn't find nothing helpful.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

I didn't manage to download an update 10.0.7 (have limited bandwidth) and I wonder if update will resolve the problem. So, if anyone have/had the same issue with 10.0.6, please let me know.

Thnx,
Roger

It is a redraw bug. Get the 007 update.

Hi BenB. I guess it is a general FCPX bug. Thats how it looks like in FCPX 10.0.7:

Please advice.

I'm only seeing it now when I scroll through a timeline that is playing. Fill out the feedback page.

Hi BenB,

It is definitely strange behavior. After like 10 minutes, waveforms started to show.

There was no visible background tasks, but FCPX was computing something - CPU was 100+ all the time.

Sorry my ignorance, but I dont know what you meant with "Fill out the feedback page."

Thnx,

Roger

Look in FCP X's File menu, there's an option to go to the feedback page and report problems.

You may also want to go into your FCPX preferences and TURN OFF background render. If it was on, it probably explains why your CPU was maxed out during the waveform drawing.
