Perhaps not as confused as we are. B)

How about a little hint... maybe a screen shot or at least the text of the error message? Since this is the FCPX portion of the forum I assume the message was from FCPX, yes? Until then I'll give you a general answer: the error message is telling you that something isn't working or you did something wrong.

Not sure why my screenshot didn't attach but when exporting I got a message that said "This item cannont be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera"

The Fix.

1. Select all your clips in your event library

2. Go to File --> Import --> Reimport from Camera/Archive --> Continue
