Can you lay titles on top of video?

I know the basics of how to use the titles provided by the software on FCPX. So far I'm able to do the easy stuff and put them either side of the video but I'm wondering if there is a way of laying the titles on top of video.

So while the video is playing can I have writing appear on the screen?

Also if there's a way of changing the colour of the font that would be extremely helpful too.

You place the title above the video so it's connected to it.




You can change the text color in Face section of the Text inspector. Some text colors cannot be changed or have limited color controls in the Title inspector.
