Remove microphone buzzing from video was created by cockneyjay
I've been recording an interview on my camera with which I used a tie clip mic. All was going well but on a small (but important) but of the interview there is a distinct low buzz that has been caused by the microphone.
I've read on forums that this could possible be solved by the "hum remover" but unfortunately I can't even locate that on the software. I'm completely new to it and this is the first time I've ever used it for a true purpose.
Can anyone confirm that this could help and also tell me where to locate it.
I've also been told that soundtrack pro would be great for removing any undesirable buzzes of hisses. Again I can't even find where to download it. Usually when I want to download software I type it's name in to google (which I could find!!!) and it's the top link. However when I type it in to google I get reviews, tutorials, and a wikipedia page about it and nothing else.
Please please help me!

There are buzzes and then there are hums. Some times the are hard to tell the difference.
I would recommend that you try the built in background noise remover and also hum remover. They might just do the trick. In the inspector look under Audio > Audio Enhancements.
You might also try a high-pass filter that would eliminate a low rumble. Those are in Effects > EQ and look for "remove low frequencies".
Since they are in only part of our video I would recommend that you add the effects, or noise reduction just on that area. Let me know if you don't know how to pull that off.

Soundtrack Pro is only available as part of the legacy Final Cut Studio suites (on eBay or similar) or it can still be purchased through Apple as part of the Logic Pro bundle (pricey). You won't find it legally online as an independent download.

The hum remover is for 2 specific frequencies caused by electrical power wires in proximity or crossing your tech cables, the 2 targeted cycle hums are North American & European 60 & 50 Hz respectively. You didn't mention where that mic went to, was it an RF module or a wire back to your camera? If it wasn't AC related, most of those hums are caused by cheap cables & jacks - XLR usually excises the cause.
After trying the suggestions people have posted here, if you're still not entirely pleased, you can try to EQ it out or use a program like AmadeusPro on your interview sound. Find a section where there is no talking, just hum, sample the noise, then remove it for the entire piece. Done.
