Auditions

I'm exploring all my NLE options for my first big project and in general continuing to argue with people about FCPX not sucking. After a lot of arguing I've come to realize that auditions are probably the best thing to happen to editing ever.

FCPX is the only editing program I've ever used (other than iMovie, but that doesn't count) so I'm not sure how people try out different ideas in other programs, but it seems like auditions really encourage editors to try out all of their options.

It just seems like this is the greatest thing ever and anyone that has problems with FCPX should really look into how much time and how many more creative choices this simple little feature will offer them.

This is just a great example of Apple doing what it does best -- creating software that encourages creativity while keeping the technical part out of the way.

I just don't think I could edit on any program that doesn't let me easily try out all my ideas in a matter of seconds.

Amen, brother.

Right on, man.
