Sharing decision chain illogical?

I'm hoping I've got this wrong, but I tested it a few times with the same result.
You still have to select "original or optimised media" in the preferences dialogue when sharing/exporting if you want the highest quality. You need to do this even when selecting prores 422HQ in the share dialogue. I assumed that the new share choices would automatically ensure you export with the higher quality files when chosing prores 422 HQ but when I checked my shared quicktime movie file (exported to my desktop for a quick check) having edited with proxies, the quality was clearly lower. When I exported with original or optimised selected in preferences, playback, the quality was higher.
IF this is how it still is, I think it's illogical that sharing prores 422 HQ can happen using proxies.

You are correct. I can understand that it may not be evident for the app to automatically revert to the original/optimized source media when sharing while you have specifically selected to use Proxies as your source material. But at the very least there should be a warning in the share window saying that you still are in Proxy mode. I never had an issue with this because whenever we use Proxies we always do a final check of the edit in full quality before sharing. But I do understand this workflow should be made more fail-safe. Provide feedback to Apple about this.

Still, it is infinitely easier than it was in legacy versions.

Agreed Ben, but this does not mean there is no room for improvement. And we have had more people complaining about this.

Ronny, yes, it's clearly not the best layout. A small box in the share section would be all it takes. Something like "do you wish to share using proxies or original/optimised media?" I can't see how that is difficult to do.
I have sent feedback on this twice before to Apple. Once before the latest version and once yesterday.
Agreed Ben. It is much better but I still think many people would find this more convenient and logical.
Anyone reading this who agrees could maybe send feedback to Apple?
