I have a compound clip which in the primary story line is cutting off the last 3 seconds. when i try and extend the clip it shows a red mark

at the end of the clip which i assume means it cannot extend the clip. When i open the CC within the timeline i can see there is more footage (but its kinda greyed out - which is the 3 sec being cut off

) but i cannot seem to get it to appear in the primary clip. any help would be appreciated, i am confused because with new release im also aware that the compound clip is also sitting in the event folder and just wondering if i am editing the wrong clip.

i seem to have tried editing each clip to see if works but no luck

thanks

Both of those screen shots look like CCs opened up into their own Timelines. You won't see the hash lines to the right in a Project timeilne, only when a CC is open in its own timeline. I think you're opening up different versions of it.

The hash lines only appear when a CC that has been dropped into a Project or other timeline is then opened into its own timeline. The hash lines show where other media in the parent timeline cut off the CC.

Your screen shots look like they're taken of two different Compound Cilips that are sitting in project Timelines, then opened into their own.
