Event & Project files & Dropbox was created by Marc Lucas
My Events & Project folders are on a separate drive now to my system drive. What I have been doing recently is creating an extra backup of those project & event files in my Dropbox which is on my system drive. Would that effect FCPX at all or should it affect it? I was just wondering whether FCPX might try and access those files at the same time as the others on the external drive. I have deleted the copies in Dropbox and since I have my audio waveforms and rendering has definitely speeded up.

It shouldn't affect it as FCPX only looks in "Final Cut Events" and "Final Cut Projects." If they're not in those directories, FCPX won't "see" them.

Thats what I thought, but when I deleted the dropbox files FCPX did speed up. I'll have to test it again.
