I have a few requests for Apple...
1: A decent proxy workflow in which I have control over the quality of the prores proxy file..If I want extreme compression that is basically moving pixels fine, let me decide on how much I need, and not left up to Apple to decide how much I need... They will never know what I need, if you are going to limit my hardware, let me crush my video to accommodate the limited hardware, if not then let me upgrade my RAM...
2: This will sound wrong, but forgive me.. I would love a way to "sandbox" 32-bit pro apps in 64bit.. It can be done, a sort of "dos-box" where the app runs on High Sierra, but is actually 32-bit, I have invested plenty into Studio 2 and being locked out when people still need it...It can be done, whether Apple decide to do this or not...Clear evidence is not going to be done...I would pay for the option...I would even pay up to $100 for Final Cut Studio 3..That is FCP 7.0.3...
3: Right now FCPX is looking great, just waiting to see what the new recent hires bring in terms of updates. I assume we are all waiting for High Sierra to publish then a new update...Related to this I feel why not have open beta testing of FCPX? Why not?? After all everything apart from Logic/FCPX/iWork is beta tested... Surely beta testing of new ideas in regards FCPX would make sense, and if any idea from Apple gets into Avid/Adobe, then Apple has the power to fight this...But hey this is just my thoughts [no need for debate...please!!]
My ideas are not up for debate, I am not going to explain in 200 replies my thoughts, they are my thoughts, just how and what I feel, hopefully read by someone at Apple and they consider all ideas expressed here, as I understand this thread is just for the expression of ideas, not the taking apart, that could and should be done in Private Message.
I respect all and every view, I am no expert and maybe my situation is different, costs here are through the roof in regards all things Cupertino...
