Sparse Disk Image crash was created by Marc Lucas

A college updated to 10.0.6 and then tried to open a sparse disk image to edit. He got this warning message (see attached pic) pressed OK to update then he gets a crash everytime. Any ideas?

Quit the app. Mount the sparse image. Copy the folder from it to the appropriate location in Final Cut Events and Final Cut Projects. Unmount the sparse image. Launch the application.
