black canvas in FCPX was created by Holden
Hi

I am a great newbie in fcpx, but i hope anyone can help me. Here's the question:

Afer installing FCP 10.0 I see the thumbnail pics, but no canvas picture. Even when I export a Film, just a black screen. I looked for answers in your form, install the ProKit Update 7.0 and check the channels (if its only ALPHA or not), so it seems like everything's fine with my settings. But still no picture. Maybe some codecs are missing? My system: OSX Snow Leo 10.6.8 with 3GB RAM

I ran across this yesterday when I had both my Event Viewer and Display Viewer active. I accidentally closed my Display Viewer, and was wondering why my multicam wasn't running properly.

I then went to the menu and made sure that my Display Viewer was open. Then walla, all was good.

SO make sure that if you're viewing footage in your timeline that your "Display Viewer" is open.

But as you can see at the attached image, the Display viewer is the frame in the middle, am I right?
