Transition Rendering VERY slow was created by louism
Hi there,
Just wondering why the transition i recently downloaded is taking around 5 minutes to render? It is the "Puzzle" transition made by a guy called peter and it is taking me way to long to put a project together with this slow rendering
Please Help!
Im running Mountain lion, and final cut pro x 10.0.5, my macbook pro is an i7, 4gb ram, early 2011.

Replied by WillRogersFAN on topic Transition Rendering VERY slow
I am having the same issues with Motion Lower Thirds that I have created and have not had an issue before.
Actually my whole system came to a screaming halt right after the latest 5.05 update with crashes left and right. I removed all of my projects and have started from scratch with no custom plugins etc and have been okay, but my render times have slowed considerably. I will add custom plugins as I see fit. My render times on everything have slowed to a halt. I realize that I am on a slow mac (mac pro 1,1) (Radeon 4870) (21gb Ram) (480gb SSD system drive)...waiting for the MacPro in 2013. Has Apple pushed the new FCPX update past what my computer can handle?
@louism
Sorry that this is not a fix. :blink:
Update: I was able to isolate my slow render problem on my custom lower third to a text effect that no longer existed (Sci Fi Glow). Once I removed this effect and added another text effect from the library my problem with slow render went away. I also cropped an alpha channel 3d logo, but I doubt this had any effect...but who knows?
