I have an interlaced project I need to export using Mpeg-4 file format and H264 compression.

I have tried all the codecs and FCPX changes to progressive.

What do I need to do to maintain interlaced video ?

Thanks.

You'll probably have to use Compressor for this, but curious why you want and you're going to do with interlaced MPEG-4.

Hi Tom,

Yes I am using Compressor 4.

I have turned Frame controls off, I have also tired to export as .mov and the result is still Progressive.

It's for broadcast news.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

What's the original format you're export? Give complete specs. How are you getting it into Compressor? What broadcaster has asked for MPEG-4 interlaced?

Original format is 1920x 1080i 25fps
I have used share : send to compressor and export using compressor settings.
