Window layout does not restore in 10.0.6 HELP PLEASE was created by dgwvideo
Posted last night but 70 views and no comments. Really need to know what is going on. My FCPX 10.0.6 window layout defaults and won't hold to the second display each time FCPX is started.
Trashed prefs, reinstalled FCPX, Motion, Compressor. All latest versions under ML 10.8.2.
Everything seems to work but window layout. Shows it being restored on splash screen when app starts up, but it is always the default window, Won't hold scope size, viewer size, event locations, etc.
HELP, PLEASE !

Does the window layout stick if you disable the second monitor?

I haven't tried to disable the monitor (do you mean physically unplug it?).
I know it won't stick if I just setup my layout on one monitor (and leave the 2nd one still plugged in with the display port cable).

UPDATE -
OK, Tom...
I disconnected the 2nd LED Display and restarted FCPX. Same problem. I configured a window layout on just the one monitor, closed FCPX, restarted and it came back to the default layout.

I'm testing mine and on my two systems FCP X 10.0.6 always launches into the custom window layout I last configured. I'm on a single monitor setup.

Well mine does not seem to do that with either a single monitor setup or dual setup. I'm using Mac Pro 12 core with ATI 5870 HD card.
It seems as if it is not reading the window layout file. Where is that stored?
