So what is the best way to permanently delete footage from the HD? I have some test footage I ingested in order to teach myself FCP X and so far I can't seem to delete it. It is just some crap from a Go Pro. I would like to delete it and the event or project associated with it since it was a test.
Resistance isn't Futile, it is voltage divided by current.

You mean selecting your event then hitting Shift-delete (or backspace) won't work ?

Command-delete will move an event or the clips in an event to the trash.
