Hey everyone,
I'm using final cut pro.
I need to export some appleprores422 sequence about 4 hours.
Converted from by redcine.
I need to export it as soon as possible.
The image can be low res.
But ı need to make dvds in the toaster also.
I pick H.264 med res but it gives 5 hours.
It is so long... for me in this condition.
Since the client asked for not the lowest but lower res.
Do you have any ideas?
Please help

been a while since i worked with fcp. you will not get 4 hours of prores onto a dvd.
do you mean a data dvd? or a mpeg2 standard dvd?
use compressor and don't go the h264 route.
output at TV size and export a quicktime file.
if you have it, use a turbo264 ( www.elgato.com ) if you need to output an mp4 file, if not download mpeg streamclip and select one of its presets.
If you are doing a regular DVD throw the quicktime file into toast and it will do a decent job for you
hope this helps, good luck

Go with Compressor.
You're not going to get 4 hours on any DVD, period. Not at any resolution. That will be 2 DVDs.
