I tried to import some clips from my GoPro Hero Naked to FCP x today and had a problem. The SDHC card reader I use is a USB reader adapter and i had the SD card in it and inserted it into one of the front SD card ports on the front of my MAC PRO (12 core, 64g ram, yadda yadda) I brought up import and it was there but was not highlighted and would not allow me to choose it as a source to import from. What gives?

Are you hitting import or import from camera? Does it work if you drag the files in manually?

Oddly enough, I don't see the drive pop up on my desktop like I do when I use my P2 drive so something is wrong...what do you think it can be? BTW I am trying to go thru import, haven't tried import from camera yet but will tomorrow.

Hmmm. I have had drives have a hard time mounting before it was usually solved with a restart. Can you mount the card through disk utility?

BTW turns out the way I had to do it was insert the adapter without the card, then insert the card. it then came up as a no name HD and I was able to drag the files into my LaCie and import from there. Works perfectly that way!
