Never mind. Found the solution.

Share with us, as someone else may have the same issue some day.

I solo'ed a piece of music and added a couple of other pieces of music to that solo. Before long, I somehow had solo'ed the entire project and had no idea how to return to normal. I think I wound up hitting the S button on the timeline which fixed it, but not before wildly hitting escape or anything else I could think of. I erased my post because I felt like it was just operator error. It's a nice feature, but I'm not crazy about everything turning dark grey! Hope that helps. I'd be curious to hear about the other issue.

Command-A to select all, Option-S to turn off/on Solo. Also V will turn on/off mute.
