Film still looks better in the examples
www.filmconvert.com/Videos/Default.aspx?video=2
but their product is impressive... too bad it's not free
However, you can enter a fake email addy & DL, test their trial

$99 for a FCPX plugin is not bad. It would be nice to have both clips and experiment with some of the grading plugins available for FCPX and see how close you could get to their results. I use a Superglam filter along with some other grading and it seems like you could get pretty close to that look.

Please tell us more about Superglam.
As for ... "Why use a fake email addy to test software?"
How many trials have you signed up for? Have you noticed it's easier to get on these "email lists" than it is to get removed from them, even after repeated requests?
Hmm.. you don't have to give a fake addy if you fit into the following category ...
"Gee, I'm so lonely I would love to receive spam email every day.
I want to test my email server's capacity for exactly how much spam it can handle.
It really makes me feel important to have all my personal information on as many databases as possible."
etc

Superglam is a plugin that is part of the Sheffield Softworks Look Sweet 2 package available in FX Factory. Here is a tutorial of the 4 plugins.
Combine this with a little grading in DiVinci or MBL2 and you get some amazing quality looks.

Naww.. we're just having some fun.
But hey, I love that Superglam. Look Sweet indeed.
I especially like the way it changed up the race car.
Similar to the way that Film Convert changed the grinding tool the guy was using.
I endeavor to learn more about these plugs.
Thanks

In the process of editing some footage shot Saturday night at a Pirate Party for a local promo. Here's a few screenshots of video frames with Superglam and some basic grading done.
Original format was 720 24PN. Stills are resized to 640 x 360 jpegs.
