Just wanted to know, before buying, if anybody knows already if you can edit 3D (side by side from a panasonic camera) already? Cant find an answer anywhere at Apple.

The only side by side it supports is your client sitting next to you :-)

hello there,

3D ? It's struggling with basic 2D. Stay on FCP 7.0 for a really long time!

Oke, call me stubborn. Call me stupid :-) Yes i know i should have waited, but i couldnt :-)
Bought the whole package. Strangely enough the things that WERENT mentioned, work. No problem importing 3D side by side! So fare the good news, here the rest......:-(

Oke, after one and a half day my experiences with FCP X.

Share stands after 30 hours on "waiting" with 2 files. Each 1 minute film. Unable to move or delete te files from share.
Bluray burning. FCP X hangs and closes.
DVD burning. FCPX hangs and closes.
Export to harddisk. Files are on 2 % and wont go any further, after 16 hours.
One project of 10 minutes. Background rendering after 30 hours still on 0%.

My camera Panasonic HDC-SDT750

Although clearly stated FCP X would take AVCHD, 1080P, but it DOESNT.
Not with camera import, not with file import.
Only one way, use a third party program to make your film 1080i, THEN it works. But WHO wants to go down in quality?

Have a Imac i7, 3,4 Ghz., 16 gig memory,
AMD Radeon HD 6970M

Imac get SO slow, anything else wont even start.

Bought compressor (hangs after 5 minutes) and motion (wont export to FCP X)

So far so good???
Expenses nearly $ 400,-
Results 0

Updates? Apple keeps quite.
