Music media management

I'm collecting some music tracks to use on an FCPX project. I move the project between 2 computers.

Where is the best place to keep my music tracks? Copy them to iTunes on both computers or do I put them somewhere in the Events folder?

Either way works well. Just remember, when you add a song from iTunes to a timeline, it makes a copy of the song in that timeline's default event. If they are stored in an Event then no duplicates are created.
