It's a 3:41 piece. What are you talking about? The guys shot with a green screen.

I'm not really comfortable with these "how do I do this?" posts. It's okay to ask for info on techniques but sticking up a video and saying "work out how to do this for me" is out of order IMHO. As a professional editor, I've had to work things out for myself - it's what makes me a pro and not a button pusher. To be honest, it's half the fun. I'd recommend getting a good grounding in editing, motion graphics and compositing - there are lots of manuals (trish and Chris Meyer for AE) and tutorial sites (ripple, etc). Being good you need to know the fundamentals, you can't just compile a cheat sheet of techniques.
That said, there's no motion tracking here for the text. The camera moves are added in post, after the text compositing.

Some people have no clue as to how to do some of the effects they desire. That said thats not an excuse for laziness or to just come here and automatically ask without attempting to figure it out yourself. However, If the people here are educated on how to do something or just provide you with the proper resources to teach you how to do it I see nothing wrong with that. I especially see nothing wrong with it because I'm just learning fcp I had no clue where to find certain things or tutorials and I thank the people here very much who taught me and gave me the proper tools to figure it out myself.

Interesting discussion. Having worked for many years in the industry, & always having camera & post production people doing all these tricks, I find the learning curve steep as well. With an editor, shooter or SFX guy, I could describe the effect, they'd make it, then we'd tweak it. Now with all the manuals & tutorials, it's difficult to find how a trick is done, because my attempted description isn't the editor or SFX guy's name for the trick. It's like trying to look up a word in the dictionary but you have no idea how it's spelled. Good luck finding it.
But thanks to Robert here, your explanation sounds the most plausible.

surferrgirl,
Well put. That was exactly what I was trying to say. It's the difference between "help, I'm struggling with this" and "do this for me"

If you'd read what was written rather than just taken offense, you'd see I said "there's no motion tracking here for the text. The camera moves are added in post, after the text compositing."
As for "MOVE" - not the best attitude if you expect help for free from professionals.

Now about that music...

Never would have picked it, but now you said it, I can see it. I thought they shot it using a hand-held camera and did some tracking on a fixed point, like the mic, but your way is much better.there's no motion tracking here for the text. The camera moves are added in post, after the text compositing.
