Entering a go to time code for a source clip in the viewer

Hi All,
First time poster - long time FCP user. Using FCP X for about 10 months now.
I've run across something in FCPX I wanted to check on. I have some long clips - 30 minutes plus. To go along with these, I have some client written time codes that I need to use to pull selects out of the long clips.
As far as I can see, I am not able to enter time code via the keypad when the clip is in the viewer window like I can in the project window. Surely I must be missing something. How can we not be able to key in a "go to" time code for a source clip? Due to the length of the clips, it is awkward to just use the scrubber and watch the tc in the scrubber info.
If someone knows how to do this - I'd be glad to hear it.
Thanks!
Bill

Select the click in the browser and click the dashboard or press Control-P. Type in a time and press enter.

Thanks Tom. I had a feeling it was something painfully obvious. I feel like I tried the dashboard when the clip was active, but had no luck. Must have been a brain fade. Thanks for the quick response.
