Text Sizes

Hi,
I might be really stupid but is it me or do the text sizes on FCPX not match sizes in other programmes, Eg. Photoshop, Word etc.
I had a client ask for some text to be 20pt in size, but it appears to be extremely small on FCPX, whereas is PS or Word its bigger?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Remember that there is no DPI in video, the frame size is the frame size. Word or Pages depends on the resolution of your monitor and size of the paper. PS depends on the resolution of your canvas, which can change. In video, frame size is fixed, nothing changes, that's it.

Create a 1280x720 pixels at 72 DPI image in PS, and 20 point type will size exactly as it does in 1280x720 video.

So what do i do when a client asks for a specific size of text?

Educate them. Find out exactly how they want it to fill in a frame. Tell them point sizes are different in video than in other apps. I have an HD frame mocked up that I send to clients and ask them to draw a sketch of what they are picturing.
