Just checking to see if anybody has seen this before.

If you look closely where the Custom Solid and the Interview footage meet, you'll see that the Custom solid has rounded corners... and the interview footage does not.

I'll explain why. The interview footage is actually a connected clip! Somehow, it decided to jump up to the main storyline. However, when right clicking on it, there is no option to "lift from storyline" since technically it is a connected clip.

The solution is to lift from storyline another clip that's adjacent (in this case, the custom solid) which forces it back down where it belongs!

This bug just started cropping up in 10.8.1. Anybody else have this? Also, anything you'd recommend to fix it? Tried trashing prefs - not much help...

Anything to do with the transition to the right of it?

Why is a connected video clip underneath the primary storyline? I can't reproduced a connected clip moving into the primary storyline by itself.

I had the connected clip below the primary storyline as I was using it primarily for audio (old track habits die hard).

When I moved around some clips that is when I noticed the connected clip jumping into the primary storyline. Funny, didn't think the program was supposed to even do this!

Don, I don't believe the transitions have any thing to do with it, but this project is filled with cross dissolves, so perhaps...

Be sure to send it to Apple (FCP X - Feedback).
They have been known to mail people for specifics in order to get more information to fix it (I've experienced this myself).
