Offline clips transitions and generators help ???

Ive just finished editing and when i went to export i got a message saying your project includes offline clips transitions and generators an the project will be exported like that ? In the timeline i have clios that are blacked out but they appear during playback like i want them to but they can't be selected or edited now ? What is the problem with them are they what offline clips are and how do i get them back ?? This project has taken over a week to edit already i don't have time to re do everything. Ive attached a screen shot of the blacked out clips in the timeline

I just had a clip appear like this in the primary storyline while editing. I restarted FCPX and it went back to normal, did yours come back after restarting?

What 3rd party (paid for) plugins do you have?

I don't think that's the issue Ben. I have none a tall, just Motion templates and nothing new in the last few weeks. For me the only thing that is different recently is that I used the angle editor for the first time, but not in the related project.

Actually that's a lie, I recently started using Disksomnia 3.0.1. I wouldn't think that would be affecting anything?

Well, the CoreMelt Lock & Load update recently caused a similar issue. They've fixed it. But yes, third party plugins and hardware can do weird stuff in FCP X. AJA's drivers have been very wonky until recently.

When I read your reply I had a feeling you were thinking along that line.

The only third party clip I'm using is a film leader. But that works fine and can be edited no problem. The clips have not come back after restarting fcpx. Ive had this happen before when i export the movie the blacked out clips appear in the finished export ? This has happened before the thing is i need to edit one of the clips that is blacked out and with the rest of the project complete i really don't want to start again after I've put hours in to it already ?

Did you try trashing the preferences? It was the next thing I was going to try if restarting never worked, but the problem never came back.

Seemed to have fixed it now i stopped the video during playback when it would play then i clicked the crop button cropped the clip a little and it reappeared in the timeline and i just undid the crop.....very strange don't know why this happens to clips sometimes !!
