anyone else having problems importing .mov files into the FCPX update?
files which imported into FCPX 10.0.0 fine are now not being imported. Fails at the Validating files stage.

mp4 files import fine.

Have now deleted 10.0.1 off system and am re-installing in the hope this fixes the issue.
Running Snow Leopard, by the way.

deleting plists did not help.

yes - quicktime opens them fine

other .mov files (transcoded via XDCAM Transfer) import fine.

So, it seems FCPX 10.0.1 is finicky about precisely what formats of .mov files it will import.
yawn...

I'd send Apple feedback on this with your example

@rickytin - tried deleting non-apple plugins, but made no difference to the .mov issue. therefore,
@peteramwiggins - i've filed feedback report and meanwhile am looking forward to an mpeg stream clip session to convert all the .mov files. yawn!..
