Need Help With This Specfic Effect was created by jgutta23
I'm shooting this breaking dancing video this weekend and on this specifc part I want to capture the break dancers like I'm taking a picture and build a collage full of still pictures (Like a real photograph, like its blurry then the pic appears) in the video. Does that make sense?
I couldnt find a video where its duplicated
Any help will be appreciated, Thx you

I think I understand what you're trying to describe. It's an effect we've all seen where we're in close looking at an interesting photo, as we pull back we see it's a group of photos, further back, we see it's an entire wall of still photos, but as we pull back even further, all those photos become the pixels of one giant image.
This would be particularly striking if all those little photos were in fact, moving videos. Can't imagine the amount of processing power you'd need to run that.
But for stills, there must be a program that puts the pics in the right place to match the final desired image. Hopefully someone here will know...

Here's an example.
I want to have the video playing, when the breaker does like a move I want there to be an effect that looks like I took a picture and it freezes the breaker in mid action

Use Freeze Fame option in the Retiming tool:
(for how to, in Youtube search fcpx, freeze last frame)
You could then use the Blade to cut the clip at the freeze, then apply a flash effect, use a quick fade to color transition or something like that. Or if you look in the effects forum here I'm sure you can find a camera shutter effect (I think FXMahoney Sight-Creations, has one).

Oh, way easy!
Here's how to make a freeze frame from the user manual.
help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.0.5/#ver4c2173c9
Go to the Generators browser and in the Solid collection, get the Custom generator and Connected it over your original "retimed" clip. Make it about 4-8 frames long.
If you wanted, keyframe it's opacity to fade out over 2-4 frames at the end.
If you wanted a more realistic photography flash bulb, I think there's a free one as a generator. I'd use a generator, save the hassle of slicing things up, gives you more control.

When I freeze frame, how do i stop it from throwing off the audio/video sync?

When you create the Hold Frame, you can grab it by it's tail end and drag it to make it longer or shorter.
As far as sync, not sure. I'd have to see how your timeline is set up. Can you supply a screen shot?

I changed my mind on creating the flash. Don't use a generator, don't cut anything, go into the Effect browser and look for the Bloom effect. Keyframe the settings from 0 to 100 and back to 0 over 4 frames. Start two frames before the Hold Frame starts, end two frames after the Hold Frame starts.
