Um, yeah, hold down the right arrow key. Does the same thing.
Skimming is actually faster.
No, we don't have a way to force every frame that way outside of a quick render (which is infinity shorter than legacy).
Honestly, I never used it before in legacy either. Just held down that arrow key to be sure whatever was working properly. I could stop much more precisely on the problem frame then.
But, I guess it could be nice to have back.
