Major Render Issues

I need help. I've been using FCPX for about 4 months. Its great but there seem to be many issues.

I have a major render issue. Lets set the scene.

My videos run about 1 hour with upwards of 150 clips.
Editing includes:
Green Screen/boards
sub clips
color.....

basics

I turned off background render because it didn't seem to be able to render well as I was working.

I run it on a MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 8gb with Mac OS X 10.7.4

My most recent project didn't render correctly.

I deleted all render files and re-rendered.

Problems encountered:

Won't render clips inside compound clips
Upon export there is lots of render noise eg. split second static lines, green screen popping through

These are a couple of the many issue I have while working with FCPX but I wonder if I'm the only one.

Does anyone have similar issues and what are the solutions?

You are cutting that hour long production into its "scenes", inside Compound Clips or individual Projects, right? That not only reduces the stress on your MBP, but is simply the asset management system normally done. Assembly them into one timeline for export when each is locked down.

- What are the specs of your media drive?
- How much free space is on it?
- What version of FCP X?
- What format are the clips you're working with, and the CC/Project timeline settings?
