bad quality text scale animation

bad quality text scale animation was created by ulisses
Hello,
I tried to animate a text scale with keyframes directly in text size, after render, the text goes up and dowm in poor quality scale. So I deleted the keyframes and animated it in video scale. Now it is ok.
But if it doesn't work properly (the text size animation) why apple put keyframes there.
Also, my mac comes really slow when layering texts.
I can't wait the day FCPX will be more fluid in editing... sometimes I feel using a very poor performance machine.

When you keyframe the text size, you are literally changing the text size (in pixel points) from frame to frame. It may seem unintuitive, but it is doing what you ask. The keyframes could be useful if you wanted the text to change sizes abruptly (for effect). Use the scale parameter for text from now on for smooth size changes.

Thanks, but I do it all the time in other software without problems.

In Motion it works just fine, but in FCP X there's some bug that causes jittery, bad quality when you keyframe font size like you're supposed to.
In fact keyframing font size in earlier versions of these apps used to yield better quality as the shapes are maintained as vectors. Where scale can (used to) cause aliasing artifacts. But with Motion today (as does FCP X) scale doesn't seem to have that problem any longer.
But yes, keyframing font size "should" be smooth. Glitch, fill out the feedback form.
Now when you say the keyframing Scale doesn't do what you want, what exactly do you want? They both have the same effect.

Keyframing Scale does it ok... I was only complaining about slow timeline when there are some layers of text.
Thanks Ben.
