FCPX Still Frame BUG

Haven't been on in a while due massive filming schedule in July and August so maybe this has been covered, but thought it was worth mentioning.

I have been editing a long documentary style project for output to DVD and have noticed that as I need still frames from the project, after I save about 5 to 10, FCPX begins to hang and says "waiting". A simple restart of FCPX fixes it, then I am good to go for the next 5 or 10 stills.
Tried most everything, prefs trashing, deleting render files, etc. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Restarting FCPX ALWAYS works. Attached is a screenshot of a compressor error message spit out by FCPX when the problem happens. Compressor works fine with everything else. I already sent Apple feedback.

EDIT - should mention I have latest everything, OSX, FCPX, etc.

Please give the exact item properties of the clips you're editing and the exact properties of the project in which you're editing. Also how much RAM do you have.

Editing 720p 30PN DVCPRO HD codec. Not optimizing but tried that also with same results. Have 48 GB RAM on 12 core MP and editing from 512 GB SSD or 4 TB Sata-II internal with same results.

Tried compressor repair a while back under Lion with no help. Haven't tried it with ML yet. Pretty sure it is a BUG as it seems to be fairly repeatable....but may be unique to MacPro 12 core.

Everything else runs perfect including Compressor when encoding for DVD and other media formats. Thanks for input.

DVCPRO-HD is in fact an Optimized codec. Converting it to ProRes is a total waste of time.

But yeah, that's odd. If it's that repeatable. Fill out the feedback form!

Please give the exact specs of the stills. RGB 8-bit? What's next?

Hi, Tom...

I am not importing stills but rather choosing to save current frame from the share menu for specific images I need from the footage in the timeline.

I happen to be saving them as PNG files, but the problem is independent of the file format. It happens after about 5 to 10 saves....then the dialog just hangs on ".....waiting".
As mentioned....a simple close and reopen FCPX fixes it.

I'm wondering about your QMaster settings. In Sys Prefs make sure they're restarting every 24 hours. Delete files older than 1 day. Only assign 1 "instance" less than the total number of cores you have (Optoins For Selected Services). Stuff that controls how much QMaster does at one time and holds on to. Something could be hanging up. Weird, just trying to think of where that could be getting caught up.
