changing clip labels in timeline ? was created by ulisses
Hi,
I created many favorites (subclips) and renamed them.
When in timeline they're showing the original clip name (date/time format). Is there a way to show the name I put on them ?
Thanks,
Ulisses

Favorites aren't subclips. They're marked portions of a clip. They names are not used in the timeline. If you keyworded the segments, the keywords would appear in the timeline index.

Thanks Tom,
So I can't see in timeline body the clip names I set... any workaround, because I have many clips with same keyword and sometimes I need the clip name in timeline.
I don't see a reason to not show in timeline the renamed favorite segment, since the marked portion went to timeline and not the entire clip.

A favorite is NOT a clip or a subclip or anything like it. A favorite is a marked I/O selection. What if use a different portion of the clip, what name should it use? What if you use a favorite and extend it? What if you use part of a favorite as well as a part that's not a favorite? They're not clips. They can be named in the browser like notes or marker names. It would be nice if the appeared in the timeline index, but they don't.

Ok, so how to create a subclip with custom name ? Compound ?
Anyway, timeline would have a way to show these "notes"...
Thanks again!
