Need help with FCP X.

Got FCP X the other day and everything is working great with the exception of on annoying problem. When I import clips into the event window everything works fine. However the problem is when I skim through the clips or drag clips into the timeline the color of my footage changes. Looks like the footage was shot in low of dim light. The thumbnails of the footage that is in the event window is the films original color but when skimmed over it causes it to lose color and become dull and not as vivid. I have reinstalled the FCP twice with no success. Can someone please help with this annoying problem.
I'll try to add a screen shot so maybe you can see what Im talking about. In the screen shot you can see that the middle thumbnail is duller than those around and in the playback window on the right.

I've heard of this before. Reinstalling FCP X may not do it, depending on how you reinstalled. Be sure you run "Final Cut Remover" first, then rebooting, before reinstalling from the App Store.

I think if trashing prefs doesn't do the trick, reinstalling won't do the trick.

What OS version are you on? What version of QuickTime?

I have a feeling this is a bug in Apple's new video ColorSync stuff.

But here's two things to check first, not sure if either will be a solution, but to be safe. First, in the Viewer, in the Viewer menu (looks like a light switch) make sure Channels is set to All. Then in the Inspector, make sure the Color section for that video is turned off.

Thanks for the quick response. I did use final cut remover during both re-installations. Checked the viewer menu and it was set to all. Also color is turned off. I am running OS X version 10.6.8 and the quicktime player is version 10.0 (128). Thanks for the help.
