pro rez lower field? encore blu ray use upper field? was created by randychesbro
I rendered my timeline into proves 422hq then i used that in Adobe encore to make a Bluray disc. the export settings in encore comes up in upper field . should i match the proress's lower field or make it in upper any way? it will be shown on a flatscreen and then i have to convert it to a SD dvd also.

Very strange that would be lower field first. As far as I'm aware the only format that was lower field first was PAL DV? What was your source footage?

i converted my time line to prores HQ , setting show up fine with upper field. in encore when i set it up to render to bluray264 it says the source video is pro res but lower field.
would you happen to know how to change the settings in FCPX for the Share to Bluray?
i think its set on full 30 to 35 and i though having a limit of up to 25 is more compatible just like sd DVD was good at 8000?

Well your source footage is upper field first so somehow you are reversing the fields when converting to ProRes. Check your settings. The exclamation mark appears AFTER you submit because the file is now being created and if you were to hit submit again you would have a conflict. Simply renaming the file to be created or changing the destination location will solve the problem
