Unclear, Fuzzy Words and Images

This might be a minor problem.
I am creating a slideshow of photos using Final Cut Pro 10 so that I can change timing, add transitions and music etc. For some of the slides, I needed to use a logo for a company. They were emailed to me as PDFs. I imported them and added them to my events, then added them to my project line. When I play the slideshow, those PDFs are fuzzy but when the transition slide starts they become crystal clear again. Then the new slide comes on screen, and when the transition ends, that new slide/photo becomes fuzzy again.
Any ideas what this is and how to fix it?

What are the specifications of your project? What are the specifications of the PDF? You might want to convert it to a PNG or Photoshop file.

This could just be a rendering issue - FCPX drops a little quality during playback, which is often most noticeable on fine-edged graphic elements. When paused the quality snaps back to full. Your transitions are likely to have been background-rendered, which could lead to them displaying differently during playback.
Have you tried exporting your sequence? My hunch is that it would clean right up, and that all you're seeing is an artefact of the editor environment.
Otherwise, we're going to need to know more about the PDF - particularly image resolution. Tom's suggestion of exporting everything as PNG and compositing those in FCPX is a good one.

I have the same thing happen with some pictures i have in my timeline. its only on playback, since i have the playback set up for speed and not quality the playback is not at full quality output. I'm sure if the machine your using is fast enough you could change yours to quality play back vers speed...
