text request

How can I get the "superman" text where the words have a curve to them instead of a straight line?
It would be great if the text could build in from the distance with the edges far behind and then the edges catch up to the text but it still looks 3D.

Text on a curve is easily achieved but anything even remotely resembling genuine 3D text is not attainable within the Final Cut universe. It is only possible using multiple layers of 2D text minutely offset in Z-space and the consequent rendering overhead is largely not worth the result. (There is an example on this forum which illustrates the point.)

The easiest thing might be to try exploring this in Photoshop if you have it.
