Cheers,

I am working on a documentary for an Architectural workshop.

I'm in charge of the video production, but there are several other people doing different parts of the documentary, witch once everyone is finished with they're part (fcpx also) I have to stitched them together.

instead of having them exporting the "video",

Can i get the "project" so that I can edit they're segments?

i was messing around a bit with duplicate media and it gave me a file with some folders but i cant seem to open the file with the media on my fcp projects

Thanks In Advanced!

Working on a similar situation right now as well.

1. Every editor should have an event file with their Name on it (like "MyEvent JOHN" or MyEvent MATT"

2. You can get their project files from them following the advice in the video.

3. You can also get their event database from them (just the database file) and relink it with the media you have on your drive. This way, all their keywording, compound clips, multicam clips, etc. is preserved. Since you are only loading the event database, the file sizes aren't that large. If you are working with just straight clips, this may not be required, but in my recent project I've been doing a lot of multicam work and it's essential. Works great and when I am ready to archive the project, I just merge the events together.

All in all, I actually find FCPX to be even easier to share stuff than FCP 7. Crazy, right?
