Export is not available was created by youngeddie
Hello!
I'm trying to export a one minute movie, like I do all the time, but nothing in the "Share" file menu is available, especially, "Export Media". This hasn't happened before.
Can anyone please tell me why this is happening, and what I can do about it?
BTW, I'm using the latest OS and FCPX software on my Mac Pro. Also, I've already repaired permissions and thrown away the preferences.
Thanks very much,
Eddie

I've seen this happen when you haven't imported your clips from a camera archive correctly. (The camera icon is still on the clip in the event.) or one of your clips is corrupted.

I tried to export several different movies with the same result. These are movies that I've successfully exported before.
Thanks,
Eddie

Verify that the computer is authorized for your iTunes/App Store account. Log in to the App Store, make sure that's working fine. Very odd.

I checked the App store, and my account is fine.
This is really blowing my mind...
Do you have any other suggestions?
Please let me know.
Thanks so much!

Would it be a good idea to reinstall FCPX from the App Store?
Are there any tricks to that that I should know?
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks, Eddie

Move the FCP app from the Applications folder into the Trash. Launch the App Store and go to the Purchased tab. Next to FCP X it will say "Install". Click and it'll reinstall.
