About duplicated event... was created by Pazu
Usualy, i copy/duplicate myself the event in finder. But i read the better way is : duplicate event in fcpX. Ok so i did.
Now, i use Xto7 to convert (to send to logic pro) and all audio was offline in fcp7.
And why ? I think because FcpX renamed all wav files with (id) at the end. ex : A3065T01_8 (id).wav
So now i have to relink to old wav files (or rename the one in the Original Media directory)
Any idea if i've done wrong something ? Or i need to do it manually to avoid this kind of problem ?
PS: What is weird, i had only audio files who was renamed.

Never duplicate Events or Projects in the Finder. Here's why that's a huge no-no.
Each "CurrentVersion.fcp(event/project)" file is a DATABASE FILE, with a unique ID assignee to it by FCP X. When you duplicate it in the Finder, especially to another drive, you end up with two database files that have the same ID.
Duplicate it in FCP X not only gives you more organized options, but it creates a database file with a new, unique ID, so that you CAN in fact have Events/Projects of the same name on multiple drives with no conflicts.
So you start by talking about making copies of events/projects, then you talk about going out to Logic Pro, two very different operations.
Xto7 imposes lots of restrictions in the translation. Be sure to go through all of the documentation about those. And your audio should NOT be going off line at all. There's something going on there.
AATranslator (and Xto7 from what I understand) will be coming out with an update soon that will give you AFF output for Logic Pro, which will rock.

I already know everything you said. So please... Stop taking me for a fool
I know it was not very clear, my English isn't very good, sorry about that. I'll try to be more accurate.
First, I need to translate in Fcp7 (or logic pro) right now, not in a few months. I need it for sound editing.
Second, I translated my project to fcp7 and got some offline sound clips. Just some of them with no reason. (I use the plugin for few month so I know how to use it).
So I checked my fcpx event, and I noticed in original media directory that several files have been renamed with (id) at the end. So my question is why ?
Must be either duplicate event or organize event. And that's terribly bad, no ? I need to rename and relink hundred of them in order to properly work when i'll send xml or whatever to the sound editor.
And my question is, have I done something wrong ? Or Do I need to manually copy my event next time to avoid the renaming of some files ? Or it is only a one time bug ?
And I don't want your fcpX general knowledge, I know it already. I use FcpX for more than 6 months now, I've read the forum, done many tutorials, etc... So I think I know the soft pretty good. Not all of course ^^

A small correction - In this first implementation AATranslator won't be producing an AAF file (though AATranslator will read some AAF variants) to import in to Logic mainly because AAF is an even greater sham than OMF and just as ridiculously poor as far as readability across daws. AATranslator will take an FCP v7 xml or FCP X (fcpxml) and convert it to either an FCP v7 XML, OMF or OpenTL for import into Logic.

There are a number of conversion apps which concentrate on FCP conversions and they should be evaluated for an individuals suitability.
It is a lot easier if you only have to concentrate on developing conversions for a minimal number of formats. AATranslator covers a significant number of formats & daws and we are only just moving into the FCP space and no doubt there will be more resources turned toward this area in coming releases.
Please don't play down the value of the old OpenTL format - it provides far more conversion detail than any OMF or AAF and even Logic's poor implementation of most import/export formats can deal with it
