I must say im not a big fan of the new final cut X. theres no multi cam. Im going to use both Final cuts just cause it just feels good to know how to use them all

You do know that Multicam is coming, right?

But yes, until XML, Multicam, and other features that are in development are released, as well as stability bug fixes, most folks are running both side by side. Very common practice.
