Quick question from an FCPX newbie. I've got a fairly simple edit of CGI material, but it does include some FCPX effects and cuts layered on the original elements. But now I've re-rendered the elements and I just want to drop them in and have all the edits/etc., preserved. Is there some easy way to do this? Ideally there's just some file I could edit that lets me change 'rendered_element_v1.mov' to 'rendered_element_v2.mov' and that's all I'd need but something tells me it's not quite that easy :-)

Select the project in the library and use the Relink Project Files function. Point it to the new files for the ones you want to replace.

Ah, I was afraid my answer was going to require 10.0.3. I'm stuck on 10.0.1 right now because that's the last version that will run with my old graphics card. (It gives a warning that it's not supported but still allows me to use it and it seems fine albeit a bit slow at times. Somewhere after that FCPX changed from allowing to 'continue anyway' after the warning to forbidding it completely. Bummer. Guess it's about time to upgrade the graphics card... or upgrade the whole machine...)
