Gang Importing of Clip Selects was created by Mike Petty
As I continue my migration from FCP 7 to X I have lots of questions so here is my current query...
Is there a way that I can gang import clip selects?
As I import from my 5DMk3 (with the card in a reader) I see that I can select all the clips and import them with one click.
I also see that I can select a play range from 1 clip and import that.
How do I select a bunch of clips, each with a different play range, and import them all at once...like the EOS plug in in FCP 7....Or can I?
Doing it one clip at t a time is a real PITA.
Gracias in advance...

You can't select portions of multiple clips and import them. Not sure why it's such a PITA. You mark a selection however you prefer and press Return Return, and move on to next one.
If you're naming them first, it's slower.

Tom thanks for the clarification.
I guess it's a PITA because I have to hit the import button or hit return 50 times as opposed to once.
I suppose I just got so used to the workflow on the EOS plug in's gang or batch importing I found myself thinking why is Apple adding the extra step.
Plus I could do all of my I/O selections hit import or drag to the window and walk away.
Anyway...lot of other nice improvements in FCPX offset this relatively minor issue.
