Batch Renaming of Files Seems to be Broken?

I'm experiencing an apparent bug when auto renaming clips in the event browser. They are not being renamed in the proper chronological order. Even though this problem doesn't appear to be specifically related to capturing tape, that's when I discovered the problem. But, it appears to be happening with DSLR based files also.

This is the first time I've captured tape in X, but I would like to rename my captured files according to the camera name and sequence or clip number. So for example, lets say I've captured the tape from Camera 1 Tape 1 and it had say 25 clips, I've tried to batch rename my clips using C1T1-001 through C1T1-025. It will rename the files, but when looking at the actually files, they are all jumbled up. In other words, C1T1-001 may actually be the 5th clip that was recorded, while the next clips now renamed C1T1-002 may actually be the 9th clip on the folder in the hard drive.

I would appreciate it if some of you would see if you can duplicate my problem. I've submitted a bug report to Apple, but who knows if they will answer me or not.

This has been this way since 1.0.0. I've filled out the feedback page about this for every version release so far.

Oh, that's good to know then... I suppose. You think they will ever get off their ass and take care of it?

Yeah I've posted here and to Apple about this weird phenomenon.
Otherwise I just love the way you can batch rename in X. So much better than before.
