Custom Resolution Project

Hello guys,
i'm quite new in Final Cut world, just changed from iMovie.
I would like to create a new project with 1280x960 resolution (4:3), but 960p is not available. I created my videos with a GoPro camera, in that resolution. If I set it to auto, Final Cut Pro X can't recognize the resolution, and 960p is also not available that dropdown menu.
With iMovie, I just set it to 4:3 ratio, and creates the project automatically without problem
How can I create a really custom resolution project than?
thanks in andvance

At this time FCP X does not allow custom resolutions. I was not aware the GoPro shot in a non-standard frame size. May want to set it up to shoot in a standard frame size.

Others are 16:9, and I like 4:3 better. And i would like to edit my already recorded movies. This is really shit that we can't choose the resolution what we wants. iMovie did it automatically. FCPX is shit...

Well, if you want to work in non-standard frame sizes, there are plenty of options. That sort of juvenile response is unjustified. Fact remains, professional video is always in standard frame sizes and rates, period. Continue with iMovie for non-standard video. No problem with that.
