ANNOYING LONG EXPORT TIMES was created by Cityboy
I export 15 min films every day, ever since I upgraded to fcpx 10.4, I realized that every time I export a clip i have to wait 3-4 hours and when I was using fcpx 10.3 my export time were all under an hour. What happened?, I exported a clip of 18mins and the export time was 3 hours, i'm currently exporting another clip and this time its only 15mins and the export time is 4 hours, how is that so, what is going on.

1. What is the format of your project?
2. Did you render in advance of the export or is fcpx also rendering upon export?
3. What codec are the video clips in your timeline?
4. Are the clips optimized?
