GoPro Footage to 24P for FCPX? was created by mobiletaylor
Good morning!
I've been taking my MKII footage (some shot at 60P and some 24P) through Grinder to transcode/conform everything to 24P. Works great! The 60P footage at 24P is some sweet slow-motion. If I need to speed it up I just retime to 250%. I need to add some GoPro footage to my existing project. What is the best way to do this? If I just import, drop in timeline, then "conform" will that do it? Is there a better way?
Thanks,
JT

Yes, you can conform that inside an FCP X timeline fast and easy. Drop that 24p footage into a 60p timeline, then:
Modify > Retime > Conform Speed
Quality is top notch, forget Grinder.
