I don't want to comment on stuff using my Facebook profile!
I have an account with fcp.co that is separate from Facebook for a reason.

OK, just like many of us do. What is your issue, specifically? There is a forum specifically for forum issues, too. Our moderator should probably move this to that forum.
Are you saying you don't want to comment on the Front Page articles via FB? Well, that's how those comments are set up, it is much easier and cheaper that way. And there's a check box to post it to FB or not.
But those Front Page articles are not the forum, that's a separate thing from the forums to discuss topic specific issues.

… I'm not the website admin, so in my ignorant own words:
The comments on the front-page use FB and G+ as 'filter', to allow everybody to comment, without opening the door to spammers, hate-speech etc.
What Ben says: front-page is independent to the forum.
Made the suggestion to Peter, to create a 'front page article comments' subBoard, because I'm no FBler either… but actually, the maintenance of the site is … 'on hold'
